A Giant Step Back to Take Steps Forward
An Honest Update on My Kickstarter Campaign - It's time to get creative
With just three days left in the campaign, my Kickstarter isn’t looking great. I’ve barely scratched the surface of where I needed to get to, but if I’m being honest, I have to trust that this is where God steps in—especially if this album is meant to be made. The amazing part is that He’s been in the details the whole time. From the writing process, allowing me to express my feelings of spiritual and emotional disorientation, to using songwriting alongside therapy and medication, to the fact that three songs have already been recorded and released. God has been there.
Even though the Kickstarter, barring a massive miracle, will not succeed (FYI, if you did contribute, your contribution won’t be charged since the campaign likely won’t reach its goal), there are still opportunities for my album and its message—that depression and doubt are valid spiritual experiences—to come to light.
Things might be happening that I could have never expected. From album completion to videos to social content, this album might just see more than just the light of day—it might have the potential to reach more people than I could ever hope for. It’s not just about “who you know,” but also about who God puts in your pathway.
I know this update might sound a little scattered, but without the process officially starting, I don’t believe I should say too much. That said, if you are the praying type, please pray for this album! Pray for it to be completed and to reach the ears, hearts, and minds that need to hear these messages.
If you’d still like to contribute financially, I ask you to check out my Patreon page. There are multiple tiers for you to get involved. Here’s what you can expect just this week alone!
Patreon contributions will also go toward making this record and future records a reality. I ask that you consider supporting me there. Trust me, it will be worth your while. I promise! From demos to new music first, live music, chats, and so much more, Patreon is my hub of creativity. If you truly want to support what I’m doing, give the Patreon page a review.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
By the way, I’ll have a fun announcement coming up in a couple of weeks! So be on the lookout.
